Adam Dexter is an American artist, director, and startup founder coach based in San Francisco. He is the founder of TheStartupFounderCoach.com, a co-founder of Omni, co-creator and director of the live video-game rap show FOUR SQUARE, and was the first creative director and head of production at Summit Series. He is also a photographer and creative director.
Dexter served as the first Creative Director and Head of Production, Art, and Design for Summit Series (2010-2014), where he produced events described as "TED meets Burning Man" by WIRED and "the hipper Davos," by Forbes. He also led the design and construction of hospitality assets for Summit Powder Mountain, a pioneering real estate project that sold to Reed Hastings in 2023.
In 2014 he co-founded Omni, a San Francisco on-demand storage and rental company, with Tom McLeod and Aaron Wiener, serving as Head of Product and Chief Strategy Officer. Omni raised more than $35 million from investors including Highland Capital, Ripple, and 8VC and grew to more than 80 employees before its team joined Coinbase in 2019.
Dexter was the first Head of Product for a fast growing VC-backed Construction Tech company now on their Series B; and ran all brand, design, experience innovation, and PR for a Series C hospitality company and hotel operator with over 70 hotel and hotel-like properties nationwide.
Most recently, he advised wellness startup, Alchemy Springs, on their flagship spa and community space in San Francisco, designing their entire courtyard experience, including the largest sauna in the country, which was also featured in The Wall Street Journal and New York Times.
Today he works as an artist and photographer, directs and produces live shows, and coaches startup founders. Since 2018 he has coached roughly two hundred founders and venture-backed CEOs through TheStartupFounderCoach.com; he also takes on select creative and design-build projects and collaborates with other artists.
Dexter blends creativity, curiosity, a business mind, and detail oriented execution in everything he does. He aims to foster a sense of belonging, evoke engagement, and spark conversation in all of his projects and relationships.
